Individual Adult Therapy

Build a relationship with yourself.

Have you had experiences that have left you feeling challenged by periods of persistent and intense feelings of anxiety, sadness, and anger?

Have you worried about what the therapist will think of you as you allow yourself to be vulnerable?

About Therapy

Therapy can help you make sense of your confusion and move beyond feelings and thoughts that leave you pessimistic about changes. As your therapist, I will provide a trusting and accepting environment as you navigate your emotional distress and negative, persistent thoughts or worries.

Therapy can help you change your perceptions of what is possible, what emotional integrity means to you, the possibility of forgiveness, and self-compassion based on where you have been and where you are now. As your therapist, I will provide an environment that provides the safety you need to explore your own emotional vulnerability, improve your coping skills, and access your own inner strength.

What Does Therapy Look Like For Me?

An initial assessment of your concerns and expectations from therapy provides time for the patient to assess whether I am the right person to accompany them on their journey of healing and growth.

Sessions are 50 minutes in length. Therapy includes processing, clarification, and understanding of your experiences and reactions as well as practicing skills inside and outside of session. Weekly monitoring of your progress will help you maintain focus on your goals and alert you to any challenges interfering with your road to recovery.

As a DBT therapist, phone consultations are also available to help you with any challenges utilizing skills. As a member of a DBT consultation team, I have a network that ensures that you are receiving the most appropriate care and the latest techniques to help you reach your goals.
